Taran Ahluwalia
Taran Ahluwalia
Hi! I’m a primary school teacher with a PGCE and BSc (Hons) English Language & Linguistics and Psychology.

I started my own tuition business after having my first child 4 years ago. With my 14 year experience in tutoring and teaching, it was the perfect opportunity to put my energy and experience into something which I love, as well as being able to work around my own children – my job now gives me the best of both worlds!

I have a range of experience in working with children of different ages and abilities. I absolutely love working with children and helping them achieve their full potential. Watching a child grow in confidence and flourish because of your help is a feeling that can’t be beaten!

Teresa Ewence
Teresa Ewence
My name is Teresa and I’m a retired primary school teacher of 25 years with the last 6 years being a deputy head.

I’ve always loved teaching and even now since my retirement, I have continued to work within the profession, doing supply teaching at local schools as well as teaching English as a foreign language to European students, who come to live with me for a short period and also to refugees.

I have raised six children, three of whom have chosen teaching as their profession. Since they have all left home, I am able to indulge myself by furthering my own interests and hobbies.

I firmly believe that school should be an enjoyable, fulfilling and rewarding experience for all children so that they build a thirst for learning and acquire confidence and resilience to progress through life.

Paula Cuffley
Paula Cuffley
Hi! My name is Paula and for the last 8 years, I have worked as a teaching assistant in a primary school in Gravesend. I have worked throughout the school, from nursery up to year 6.

I have always wanted to work with children and as my children got older I volunteered in their pre-school and school. I gained my qualifications to work with children, Level 3 in Children and Young Person in the Workplace, more recently I gained a 2:1 Honours Degree from Canterbury Christ Church in Childhood Studies.

I love to keep busy. I enjoy learning new things and reading is one of my favourite pastimes. I enjoy music and films, quite often watching films with my 17 year old. I am an animal lover; I have a dog, rabbit and 5 fish. I try to keep fit by jogging, aerobics and yoga. I love spending time with my family and friends, going for long walks or discovering new places to visit.

Ms Victoria Sheridan, Longfield

I’ve known Taran a few years now and she is an excellent teacher. She is also kind and considerate with patience and a sincere interest in every child’s development. You will be pleased with having your child tutored by Taran!

Ms Katrina Buick, Orpington

Taran is one of the most caring, supportive and nurturing tutors I know. If you’re looking to get to grips with the 11+ I’d definitely recommend getting in touch!

Ms Louise Knapp, Longfield

My daughter is flying in school at the moment, especially in Maths; she is one of the top girls in her class whose work regularly gets pulled up to show others and she gets to go off into groups where they do extension Maths work on a weekly basis. I think that has come from the confidence she has gained through your lessons and your teaching methods – she now finds things so much easier! Cannot thank you enough!

Ms Sarah Smith, Fawkham

Paula is so lovely, great with my youngest child and highly recommend her if you’re looking at tutors or helping your little ones catch up after COVID.

Ms Theresa Waters, Gravesend

I would highly recommend Taran. She is extremely professional and punctual and uses great resources to make learning fun, getting great results.

Ms Charlotte Jewel, Hartley

Excellent tutor. Takes the time to work out how your child’s mind works and uses that to teach them via fun and engaging methods. My daughter has only been going for a few months and she and I have seen a fast development in her understanding which has given her confidence.

Ms Rebecca Jarrett, New Barn

Highly recommend. My son always wanted to come to her lessons which is pretty amazing for a 9 year old boy!

Ms Sharon Harwood-Davis, New Barn

Highly recommend! My son loved Taran’s group tutoring and she was always had open communication with us as parents! He passed his 11+, got into Grammar school and made friends he will now go to school with! I look forward to sending my youngest in a few years!

Ms Frances Fisher, Hartley

Taran has been a great support for my child. She makes learning enjoyable and has boosted my child’s confidence.

Ms Keely Gibbons, New Ash Green

My eldest son had Taran as a tutor for his 11+ practise and there would be no-one else I would send my twins to. Now they are starting in Year 5 we had some Summer sessions, Taran made the children feel completely at ease even though it was something very new to them. My children come out of Taran’s sessions full of enthusiasm for learning which is definitely an added bonus!

Ms Abigail Lyons, New Ash Green

Taran is a great tutor! Even during lockdown she made the online lessons fun and full of education all at the same time. Taran put my son at ease on every session and communication with me as a parent was timely, helpful and very friendly. I would absolutely recommend Taran’s tutor sessions!

Ms Claire Kimpton, Longfield

I’d highly recommend Taran!
